Student's Hypocrisy

I am guilty of running,
and hiding from others.
Hiding away from the crowd,
From our sisters and our brothers.
But, something God showed me,
A few moments ago.
Is that I've been a hypocrite,
With nothing to show.
Mark chapters eleven and twelve,
Made it completely clear.
Pharisees reasoned together before responding,
Only in people is where they had fear.
I thought I wasn't like them,
Because, I know Jesus is The Christ.
He gave me the knowledge,
Concerning everything, He is and will suffice.
None of us should ever,
Lean our our own understanding.
Though He loves us all,
He corrects and is reprimanding.
Where I see that I have erred,
Is letting fear of people control how I respond.
I concidered my answers without His word,
Therefore, tightening my own bond.
When it came to talking to people,
I wouldn't respond with grace.
I now see it was a subconscious control,
To avoid coming out of my space.
I am regretful in how I handled,
Some of my conversations in the past.
I'm sorry for those I hurt,
Because, my shortcomings seem to last.
So, my point is,
We're only supposed to fear Our Lord.
That's why, with the Pharisees,
Jesus always abhorred.
He prayed for us to be kept from evil,
Not to be taken out of the world.
We were put here for His purpose,
Enduring to the end what life has hurled.
