The Sun and the Moon
Will come together soon
With one in front of the other
Or side by side in wonder
Of the gaze of endearing eyes
In beauty of our limitless skies
The Sun and the Moon
Like a cool fall afternoon
To a warm spring morning
May seem too different to be doing
Such an endless dance
Twirling and twirling, they always give in to this chance
That last step will be the end
No matter how much time they bend
The Sun and the Moon
However, never let that prune
How much the ancient pull
Makes them full
And how much a simple push
Would be a lethal ambush
Of ruthless time
With no remorse to the crime
A irreversible effect
Forever unable to reconnect
So, my Sun and my Moon
Because you say I am your bright rising balloon
Even though I say the opposite is true
For you remove my clouds and make things new
When thought finally came
I realized, because of what we became
We are each other’s Moon and Sun
Opening the doors to fun
And being there
In the shadows, with our care
So to my Sun and my Moon
I will see you soon.
