Today began on the chilly side

I'm standing outside typing this

The sun is out shining bright

Soon , time to shut off the furnace

The snow is slowly melting away

Dripping sounds heard all around

Not too bad out on this Sunday

Tiny water streams on the ground

A light breeze , but cool

A bright sun , that's warm

Spring will arrive soon

Then begins the thunderstorms

I just finished with a small joint

I only smoke half , then I'm done

That doobie did not disappoint

Puffing away in the morning sun

There's a bit of a chill still hovering

The dampness from the water too

A bit of a breeze that is occurring

Spring is close to making it's debut

A light breeze , but cool

Then begins the thunderstorms

Myself , I've seen enough snow already

Walking is so much more challenging

Good balance is key , ice can be deadly

One wrong step and you end up falling

Not to mention the huge mess left inside

Shoes and boots can leave a big puddle

Also the salt from the sidewalks coincide

Constantly wiping up water , it's a struggle

Some people really enjoy the winter time

I am one , but without the polar air coming

Minus twenty Celsius is where I draw the line

When it gets that cold it can feel a bit numbing

February fifteenth today , March is on deck

Spring will be here sooner than we think

The birds will have mostly laid all their eggs

Next is summer , arriving before we can blink

A light breeze , but cool
