I hide at the back of a century old Narra tree,
I breathed through my mouth for silence,
Another kid screamed,
And another laughed with joyous victory,
And there I was jumping with glee as I won hide-and-seek.
My mother called my name for dinner,
I run almost stumbling down the muddy path,
Mom! whats for dinner?! I yelled,
Quickly washing my hands I ran to the dinning area without waiting for answer,
Mom was feeding my beloved little brother,
I fell asleep with an exhausted smile on my face.
I was awaken by a rapid knocking on the door,
Opening the door with a little drool on my chin,
My landlord with a menacing face shove me the month's bill,
And suddenly, I realized its sunrise shaking me with a harsh reality,
Adult life is a bitch.
