Superficial love, a fleeting flame that glows
Brightly for a moment, then fades away
Like a shooting star across the sky.
It dazzles with its beauty and its charm,
But lacks the depth and strength to truly last.
It is a love that's based on surface things:
On looks, on wealth, on status and on fame.
But underneath it all, there's nothing there
To build a lasting bond or true connection.
It's like a house built on a sandy beach,
That crumbles when the waves begin to reach.
At least that's what I thought
