A flower grew on barren land the soil was so toxic it was not for man
Just dirt rock and a lot of sand no safe place for a man to stand
Pesticides and poisons, we destroyed on this land no I'm not man's number one fan
Nothing ever grows on this barren place the toxicity it's so high it'll melt your face
But the strange thing is life finds a way impossible thing I say
I sat down in my chair that I kept by the stairs
I reached for my binoculars and stared impossible I must be visually impaired
This can't be it's a fake my whole body begins to shake
I was looking at a flower that grew on toxic waste miracles do happen time I could not waist
I called everyone that I knew to get the word out as fast as I could the whistle, I blew
Strange how life always finds a way even through toxic soil life found a way to grow today
Life it precious gift to be alive the flower it had to learn how to survive
