I

Take Me Back

Take me back to that time
When I knew my name
Not this name, chewed, and dined
This name that is taken to be vain
Take me back to when this heart had knew no scar
I know that time is too far
But I crave for that time when smile smiles
Take me back; feet braced to walk those thousand miles
Those times when lullaby was my sleeping pills
When Mom used to be an artist just to see me sleep
When the clock was a friend not the foe to abhor
Take me back to the time when joy know no end
And sorrow was far off my end
Take me back to when heaven lives in this earth
Not now when hell has stained every part
Take me back to the treasure past
When joy comes but lasts
To the time when dreams was anew
And trammel was a closed view
Now; treasure and pleasure only in the past,
Joyous memories linger in the past
But dreams can still soar high and vast,
Over hurdles and bites, walk past
And can make peace with peace with life's hard race.
