Someone tried to talk to me about getting my first tattoo today.
"but you are supposed to be this amazing Christian Girl setting an example you know?"
"What will God think?"
My question is what will God think?
After all it does say in Leviticus 19:28 "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD"
But isn't this the old testament?
In the new testament he gives us two rules that come from Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18
Love your neighbor and your God.
There's also the debate about whether the Ceremonial Laws still apply.
I am praying about it, but everywhere I turn the only thing that stops me is my reasoning.
I want this because I thought of death as welcoming at one time and I have lost ones I miss. I want it to remind myself you can always start over and to look down and see something I worked through instead of a scar I thought I earned and that choice is between God and I. I'm sorry if that offends someone, but I'm not even sure if it's okay.
