Taunting Betrayal.

Taunting Betrayal
Nothing has ever crushed my spirits like the day that I lost you.

The envy I had for the solid ground engulfed me in never ending flames.

As I sank ever slower into the very image of you burnt into my brain.

I could recall every last moment with you, the good as well as the bad.

Were I still a man, I doubt I would have survived the wicked thoughts that taunted me.

Alas, I died and was born anew upon your departure, your betrayal.

Where once a good man was now only that of torn anguish and anger reside.

Forever to be bitter, cold; heartless.

Never again will I love.
Never again will I care.

The feeling is numb, the air; stagnant.

I am, but a corpse.
