I wanted to die.
as she sat there crying telling her friends how I broke her heart.
a cloudy blue left me to drown.
her tears.
her dragged out sighs.
they killed me like a sad Love song.
a serenading ache that plummetting deep in her stomach.
she gasp hard over and over again.
as I felt it in my soul.
in my being.
I did this....
I caused a girl's heart to split in two.
tears in her turquoise eyes.
I felt myself plead with me.
go to her.
pick her up.
hug her.
just take the pain away.
it's agony of being popular.
and it left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I wanted to kiss her and not stop.
I wanted to drown her in my kisses till I just tasted sweetness.
her brown almost burgundy long hair.
those fever flushed red cheeks.
porcelain.
the color I grew to love with my every fabric of being.
so soft.
yet it's gone forever.
yet my preteen mind couldn't comprehend the tragedy of what I did.
yet I still dream of her still.
those turquoise eyes.
her full natural rosy pink lips in a quiver.
and the hurt that sang to my heart.
yet no apologies could mean more than a kiss.
yet I died every time she walked by.
raspberry breeze.
her perfume.
at least that's what I called it.
yet she left.
and I could never taste that sweetness again.
yet I remember the agony of wanting her cutting me deep again and again.
