I walk the shore of our memories.
Lingering, many times happy, it felt complete.
All such a modern day tragedy,
These memories of You and Me.
Trying to find the exact time.
I run back and forth, Rewind, Rewind.
25 years, Dear Lord, A lifetime.
They boggle Mine Enemy Mind.
Day after Day, we laughed and played,
We were so dedicated, sure nothing would change.
Our love was strong, stable it would stay.
Together forever, until we passed away.
And on the other side, we would reunite,
Join hands again, and together take Flight.
Nothing On earth we couldn't fight.
Sleep, holding tight,
from Moon Rise, To Daylight.
I look at my footprints in the sand.
Losing sight of them, back to where we began.
I fall to my knees, I don't have the strength to stand.
And I scream up above,
"DEAR GOD, WILL I EVER SEE MY HUSBAND AGAIN...."
...the tears flow,
I don't understand....
... so, I lay down,
to rest my head
upon the sand....
... he was also, My Best Friend...
...Damn Him, Damn that Man...
