Tears of my Father

Like a radar he finds signals,
in time he makes a self portrait of his struggles.
stripping him of precious time,
speedily abandoning him with tears.
like a sledge moving on smooth pieces of wood and plastic,
he moves about in frustration;
and thoughts on the next mouth he would feed.
for as times goes on,
memories of his deeds are gone,
enormity of his struggles forgotten.

with tears sickened to his face,
and a heart longing for emancipation;
like an emigrant he leaves home,
his mind elusive each day.
like embers he lay in tension;
the tears of my father;
once in a while devastates me,
and his struggles choke me.
all to provide,all to acquire,all to satisfy.
like a lion he protects his cubs,from anguish that might erode them.
he is threat to foes and peace to friends.
l will forever remember the struggles of my father,
for they are like loins of a shepherd;
that cannot leave a shepherd
A father indeed.
