There's repeats after repeats

To keep us glued to our seats

At one time used to entertain

Now they will wash our brain

Giving us over a thousand shows

Do we need that many, I don't know

To keep our eyes from turning

Few shows that will help our learning

Television is like a virus to us

We get infected at an early age

Most kids are raised with one

So much more to do that's fun

Television is everywhere

A program for almost everything

Ads that bombard us constantly

Seems like they have a monopoly

And sitting on a sofa all day and night

It's not good , but they need us to view

And why all the violence on TV ?

Do most people think that is ok?

Television is like a virus to us

We get exposed at an early age

Most kids are raised with one

So much more to do that's fun

To keep us as their loyal viewer

They would not want any fewer

The effects keep getting wilder

We need things a little bit milder

The channels increase constantly

They remind us too, consistently

Commercials run often and regularly

Do we really need the stuff?, hardly

Television it's just like a virus to us

We are shown tv when we're babies

Many kids are raised early with one

There's tonnes more to do that's fun

For the best channels it gets pricey

Along with other channels it gets dicey

Play a game, read, or visit outside

Those kinds of things have no fee
