A hospital full of sick and wounded people lingering in the halls.
Nurses on stand by hoping nobody falls.
They greet you with a smile even when they feel sad.
It's their job to stand tall even after the hard day they have had.
Sometimes they have to put in a double shift.
So a walk outside on their break may give them that a lift.
They carry burdens on their shoulders from patients they have lost.
Even when they work danger may subside, but they must smile, even after all that it cost.
Sitting by a patients bed
getting ready to deliver their meds.
Feeding and cleaning them and making sure they were fed.
A nurses day is never done.
Let's thank them for their generous hearts, a memorable metal thay have won.
In my eyes I see them as a true hero.
They take their time and patience and give you instructions you need to know.
Let's salute them for the time they take out of their lives.
And for the powerful success they have strived.
