The Argument

In the realm of raging words, we stood,
bound by disdain, misunderstood.
Eyes seething with fiery wrath, we clashed,
Ready to engage, our anger unabashed.
Fingers pointed, accusations flew,
Each word a dagger, piercing me and you.
Unleashing pain
Your voice, raging deep within,
Tearing at my heart, piercing my very skin.
My anger flares, a furious fire ignited,
While your resentment, surely, goes undivided.
No room for reason, no solace to find,
Just bitterness consuming, leaving naught behind.
Buried beneath the ruins of this verbal clash.
Though masked by frustration, it's not too late,
To heal and remove this bitter weight.
Let forgiveness and understanding, intervene.
For deep within this late night fight,
Lies hope and a flicker of light.
