THE BATTLE OF THE BRINE

A blackened sky betwixt a deep grey
Fog
Shouts out in anger a thunderous Speech.
Letting fall a crystal shower
Arresting its prisoners within its reach.
From yonder a coat of breeze comes Forth
Swaying lightly to and fro.
Its temper changing in an instant
As its cold heart releases a blow.
Within the depths of the salted ocean
The ferocious waves hit against the Rocks and upon the shore.
Unable to drown the persistent Rainfall
As it continues its quest to attack Once more.
All too soon there is a silence
As the nightime slowly drifts away.
With the ships bobbing up and Down
Ready to welcome a new day.
No more the sea or the rain
Fight for survival under the wind And
The thunders command.
As they settle their friendship With
A hug.
And a shake of their hands.
