I'm scared of the dark part of me inviting me to dine,
it's the part I hope would die, for it creates a path that darkens my shine,
its tempting arms opened to warm me in its clouds,
bracing me up with its ignorance and viles,
and of its plates I eat and die.
I am scared of the beast I created in me,
for by my wrong choices it grew and lived,
it's the beast I left untamed by carelessly giving in to its insatiable crave,
and to survive it wrapped its claws around my nape,
keeping me with no chance to escape.
I am afraid of the choices I'd have to make,
of the beast I forgot to tame and the darkness I ate from my own plates,
for my ignorance purchased their Fame, leaving me to never be the same,
and to escape, sought I a choice to break out of the cage.
I'm glad of the redemption I chased,
for i found the courage to face the beast I made,
I opened up its cage and sent it far away,
and to the dark I dined, brought I a flame to purify my ways,
and to my new paths I journeyed happily leaving no trails.
