where I had not looked at myself in the mirror
Had no reason to
Coz I believed what I was told I was
Someone else told me who I was
The pics I post
Were my therapy
Became my mind game
Became a key
Became a way out of the
Mind prison I was in
Having a smart fown
Was my breakthrough
The mind shifted
From believing I wasnt beautiful
To, what difference will it make
If I am beautiful or ugly
Should I love myself any less
Or will I love myself regardless
Of beauty or ugly
Then looked at beauty
Does beauty define who I am
No not really
Who I AM defines beauty
Coz I know the beauty inside me
The beauty dt no many
Will get to experience
Only myself IS sure
Of the beauty I possess inside
All of a sudden
Whether
I was beautiful
Or ugly
Ddnt matter
I got over it
The prison chains were broken
I broke loose from
External definition of beauty
As they say
"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"
It mattered no whether
Someone sees me as beautiful
Or not so beautiful
The power of that mind shift

Was my freedom
Questions like
If am beautiful will life be fairer
No!
If am ugly will life be worse
No!
Ugly or beautiful
Will I undo any of it
No!
My attitude changed
If am ugly
They better get used to
my ugliness fast
coz its going nowhere
Finally!
I was not defined by wt people see me as
Even if you can tell me
Am ugly now, it makes no difference
Am not gona start using make up
Am not gona think of the nearest surgery
I will not be moved
Beauty or no beauty
We are all in this earth
To live this life
The best way we know how
We breath same air
We face challenges
No one is spared
If beauty pay bills for others
Great!
If beauty makes others more successful
Awesome!

Whether you know it or not

Dnt give power to people to define you
