Do those forevers' simply fade away?
Are those somedays' yet too far away?
The moon is full, and whiter than I
remember as it cradles in the arms
of an ever-watchful night sky.
The stars above, strewn silver sands
on a dark, velvet drapery are shimmering
in exuberating brilliance.
The waters below, inviting and soothing
roll forth in comforting waves toward
a welcoming, pearly shore.
I count the beauty of this life, as I count
the beauty of your love, the most natural
manifestation in the universe.
But the truth is, we are all, too-human.
Do those forevers' simply fade away?
Are those somedays' yet too far away?
Why do those two words we utter with
such apparent glibness, "forever" and
"someday" almost always sound like -
"never?"
