The bird that wasn't allowed to fly

The bird that wasn't allowed to fly
I'm stuck
Without will
In the four corner walls
Because is 'safe'
They say
For a crime I have not
Or yet to commit
They fear
Gratitude is expected of me
For the protection
Or the ignorance am being fed with
Why can't I be free too?
You can only be safe
If you make acquaintance with danger
When you know what kills you
Ignorance is like pain reliever to cancer
Ease the aches
Prolong the suffering
I understand the cage
The iron bars that keep us
But one need to step out
To see how much the sun burns
The flesh that nurture the plants
The wind that swept evidence yet
Carried history
The sky that cried for the dead
And sympathies with nature
The soft pillow in the sky that strikes the deadly weapon
How will the bird fly?
If you won't let it jump to his grave or soar through the skies
Convicted for being immature
Not old enough
That's rich coming from them
When one had their freedom
And mistakes to be made
While us trapped
With our inner demons
Fed with ignorance
Making second nature to naivety
Is ironic, really
Thou we are higher than the creatures with four limbs on the ground yet...
They are much free than us
