The black boy woke up early in a summer morning ready to face the world
that keeps him aside
Gives him pain and steal his pills
The black boy walked down a busy road lonely
too many persons he met,yet non to say hi
boarded a bus only to be offered the best of buttock forsaken seats, with joy he took his plight,at least he got a seat, only to pay the highest of fare
School compound came to view, stealing every shimmer of smile, not again with the boys
The girls will scoff yet we are all the same
With a worried heart he approached a seat only to be told "it's taken already"
When will this stop,he longed for answers
Closing bell was all he sought, for joy at least he hope to come,
home he thought for peace he would find
Shattered was not close to what he got
From His source he hoped for smile
Smile to comfort and ease his pain
Only to be told "you can't be here"
Where then does he belong,he longed for answers
When will this stop,he asked again.
The black boy doesn't live in a foreign land
He stays with you
He is every broad nose you scoff
Every plus size you beg to starve
the single you taunt for spouse
The barren you seek a child
And every others we fail to see
The black boy is tired of being sorry for a skin
He never bargained for.
