They found me smiling in my sleep today
Said I looked peaceful in my eternal rest
I did not feel their arm, had no pulse nor will to come back
I guess some wondered why I smile while they mourned
And so I will give the answer you might not want to hear
I smiled coz I was happy when u dressed me up in lies and left me naked with the truth
I smiled coz you hurt me, but I fell in love with the pain
I smiled coz I stopped asking whether you did miss me when I was gone
I smiled coz all I ever wanted was to grow up and be free
I smiled coz I thought I could make everybody nice
I smiled coz you left me behind, erased me from their lives and my memories were ashes in the wind
And so I will continue smiling, I will not mourn for me
