The Bride

She was statuesque and striking, majestic in her beauty, but she was wrapped complete in a cocoon of unpleasant disquiet and her royal pedigree was not showing.
She looked too much the desultory outsider, casually accepting in her indulgence, and ambivalent to the desire of her Consort. 
Above all, he still loved her
and saw what first caught His notice,
He saw what she would be,
which is the apple of his eye, and he would not be dissuaded from his love for her...not ever!
