The Broken Doll

She filled the kids with joy
And brought them comfort in time of fear
She was loved more than a toy
But as years grow, they didn't seem to care
Her vibrant colours drained
And the smile she still keep strained
Now she was worned
In rags she was torned
Dark and alone
Under the bed was her new home
She weeped longing for a friend she seeked
Then one day a little girl saw her
And made her a home
She repaired with no more tears
With no more sorrow and she was never alone.
