A broken heart mistaken for a heart as a whole
That broken heart doesn't know it needs stitches,
So it mends itself back together with the help of its own blood and bones
With a raw line cracked inbetween,
The oblivious broken heart searches for something that beats
The oblivious broken heart finds another one whole
The self mended cracks break the flesh stitches,
Pulling the beating heart into its doom
Now the still beating heart is broken too
But the oblivious broken heart didn't know,
It thought its cracks were fixed,
Did the blood and bones not stitch?
Or was it too soon to try again for another heart that beats?
Maybe this time the oblivious broken heart will wait until its stitches are complete
