So, I kissed my wife,
And I hugged my son,
I'll come back if I can,
So, don't tell anyone.
I should have refused,
This insane mission,
But I joined the force,
Of my own volition.
And when I'm given a task,
I never fail,
I will succeed,
But, if it sends us to hell?
I'm torn between,
Duty and life,
Especially when it comes,
To my child and wife.
But I'm a soldier,
Tried and true.
But to doom the world,
To a nuclear gloom?
What do I do,
To stop this madness?
Because if I succeed,
It'll be nothing but sadness.
So, I thought and pondered,
As long as I dare,
Do I drop the bomb?
How is that fair?
Knowing full well,
What's about to happen,
In destroying a city,
There's no satisfaction!

I put a gun to my head,
If I have to kill so many,
I'd rather be dead!
