The Child Weeps.

Tainted love.
Is all I got.
Taught me lessons
about life
I wish were forgot.
It hurts me now
That I am grown
Don't want to think
They must have known
I don't blame them
It was all my own doing
That I existed in their world
Guilty for being.
I don't want me
To be me either
So their justified
In their cold shoulder
Made very clear over time
Problem is mine alone
That's just in my head
That is only my own
Their right to wash their hands
This will never go away
Don't expect them to care
Compassion ran out along the way.
I must suffer myself
In stoic silence
So no one can know
What provoked me to violence
I have had to learn
That I do count
That me in here
Adds up to an amount
Something only small
But still real in our reality
It hurts to love people
Even without the extra sensitivity
This is what happens
In the broadest sense
When you break a child
That has no defence.
