THE COUNT

Alpha to Omega I counted
But I skipped a many beta’s and delta’s
There was another much and many
I couldn’t count up to
I deposed my tiresome past
To evade my agonies
Among the dozens of
Snares in my life
My tedious days are
Still palpable to my allies
Concealed deep inside mine
that cannot be measured
What we count within our units
may be alien to the genius
Portrayed at a different level
in the midst unscripted life
Whom we count as opulent kid
might be an urchin
Soothing to be judged as
Hedonists among their peer

An expert may be Felt as a tyro
when he slips his counts
Those never ending guesses
Were once exact counts
The sloths were sedulous
The meek were once fearless as
Everyone is subjected to
Sporadic U-Turns in life
We are not neutral judges
When we shuffle ourselves
To run away from obscure realities
With our preoccupied minds
