The Devil Crept

The faceless watched,
As the stars fell and the heavens collapsed.
Angels wept as evil bloomed,
Their doubts now surpassed.
Falling from paradise,
With wings of the blessed.
Leaving a path of pillage,
The devil crept.
Sworn to God,
Are the hearts of the holy.
Chained to spite,
Were the tortured and melancholy.
As fear polluted the faithless,
Truth enlightened the eyeless.
Scarce were the Lord's feathers,
Collected for the wicked’s treasures.
Hell became the land,
Among the oblivious,
Always truant,
Hopeful Halo’s now appeared above the godless.
The perfect have fallen,
Now face to face with judgement.
The vultures have scavenged,
Leaving nothing but darkness.
