THE DOOR, THE PRIDE
Where did it all start?
What was the genesis of everything?
A door that was opened when it shouldn't have
How did it get opened?
Was it willingly, accidentally or coincidentally?
To every door is a key
But this door doesn't shut ever again once opened
The desires, the longings, the thirst, the cravings and the hunger
All these are unwanted but unquenchable fire
That the impromptu opening of the door starts
A blurry childhood memories
Filled with crimes committed by faceless culprits
Leaving me with no one to blame
Am I a victim of my own circumstances?
There is no joy derived from sharing it with anyone
Mockery and pity is the only shelter they can provide me with
These make me and break me
My pen remains my voice and best friend
In which I find solace and everything I need
This door wants and needs
Only end up making me break and defile what I should obey and respect
Yet I can't blame it on anyone
Beauty I can't blame
Body I can't blame
What made you open the door?
Who are you and why did you?
You tore me apart, opened a sacred place
My only pride and dignity
Can the body ever stop thirsting for water?
Can the stomach ever stop craving for food?
These are the inevitable it left me with
I feel like a coward
I feel powerless
I am really scared
How can I not be able to build a wall between us?
What I am running from keeps getting to me
For strength I have not
But help I ask for and peace from the divinity
