The end is always closer than it seems
Often times it's here before we're ready
It would be different if we knew when it would be over
Then we could plan when to exit the darkness
Instead we waste time that is already fleeting
Living our lives in sadness and pain
Is it time to turn and say goodbye
Moving out of the darkness into light
To start a chapter new
To pursue our happiness making sure
We have no regrets when the end comes
