The reason I'm still alive
is because of you
because of your soul
it's generosity
it's luminating resonance
without substance, without purpose
as we live and try to compensate
for all the misgivings and tragedies this life has to offer
and though we're at odds,
it seems constantly
to disagree,to not believe
how many fucked up things
we've done to each other
yet we've been through so much
just to give up now

it's the minor things we tend to always think of
but I wouldn't change it for nothing
