The Fear of the Blank Page

Getting back into writing,
was quite a struggle for me.
Seeing that white page,
did not make me feel free.
The fear of not being able to fill the page with thoughts,
made me almost lose my hobby.
but when I began to start again,
my brain started filling like a hotel lobby.
as the pages grew shorter and the writing grew longer,
my thoughts became something of a sight.
I sure did hope that this new talent,
would not drift away like a kite.
as I heard more music that spoke to me,
the writings they happened each day.
I always looked forward to constructing them,
there was always something new to say.
as I wrote each night it became something,
something that was part of my plan.
I never had known, how well I had grown,
and that I finally could take a stand.
the writing could be about life, or even death, that's the beauty of how it can vary.
they can be about love, they can be about truth, or even something truly scary.
so to all of you that decide to become,
something of a poet or writer,
you must realize that when it comes your time, you will be such a fighter.
dont push away the ideas,
that pop into your head by the hour.
each of your new ideas,
can be precious as a flower.
so write it down and dont give up,
we need more writers that will truly paint a picture.
for some of us in the future, will only recognize a messy mixture.
our writings will help others recognize,
how quick our ideas can grow.
they cant be solved, by someone on a phone,
no only they can be explained by a pro.
so let's stand together and join in hand,
this is our true passion and drive.
for some of us writing, is the only thing,
that can make us feel alive.
-dedicated to all the fellow writers out there, I took a few years off from writing poetry and this poem explains me getting back into poetry and the importance of writing! 💜
