We have been enslaved by the assailant,
Taken hostage in our homes,
Pretending like everything is okay,
Routine as always,
But the truth is,
We have lost our humanity.
This fiend has assaulted us,
Robbed our chastity,
Enticed us with it's temporary blessings,
Making us malevolent,
Paralyzing humanists,
And killing the vibe of humanitarian.
It has poisoned the political air,
Anyone who inhales it
exhales avarice,
Popularity is being gained by
satisfying faux philanthropic desires,
and malfeasants are walking free.
This virus has gained so much power,
Infecting all social classes,
It has overthrown integrity and justice,
But I believe we aren't beyond redemption,
If willing we can still win this death race,
'Cause it has taken a piece from all of us.
We all live on borrowed time
that's for sure,
Life can be disappointing, I agree,
But then what's life without disappointment?
Let's purpose to make use of our time here,
Re-write our story of how we died.
