The Fools

What eyes could shine so bright that stars would dance beneath their gaze. What warmth could there be for me nestled betwixt your rays. To touch a thing so hot that I would surely melt away. But my desires could be fulfilled. Why would I long for a taste of pleasure when surely I know better. I cant worry for the cost because I see you and I'm lost. I chase the pleasure with a double shot of pain. You bring me torment, sorrow, pain. And still I must have you again. I see and cannot help but want to be more near. The flames they dance and quickly flicker as they're burning down the blackened wicker. I'm enticed to dance amongst the warmth and light. I get to close and I am burned another lesson never learned. A fool in love will be a fool until they're dead.
