The forgotten one

I lived to tell the story, about the forgotten one.
He was her middle child, the one nobody paid attention to, he was her son.
People would come over to visit, and he was locked up in the basement.
The floor down there had no carpet, just cement.
When everyone would leave, he then would be allowed upstairs.
Nobody even knew he existed, the other kids were allowed outside but he wasn't, it just wasn't fair.
All he did was sit in front of the window and stare.
Everyone that saw him thought he was a statue, because he didn't even move.
If the police would of saw this, they would not approve.
This poor little boy has been badly neglected, he did not even know how to talk.
Being the middle child with neglect, and learning disabilities, this boy will not make it far in life.
He has been through a lot of sorrow and strife.
No one to talk to or play with was a lonely life indeed.
All he wanted was love and affection, that's something everyone needs.

Now this boy will no longer have to suffer because he was put to rest in peace.
He found a way to escape out the house and ran down the street.
Out of nowhere a car had hit him and dragged his body down the street.
People cried because they thought all this time he was not real.
They didn't know what to do or how to feel.
He no longer had to hide away, he was going to heaven now with his angels that guided him to the light.
The people in his neighborhood put flowers and an angel ornament on his stone.
They cried as they said goodbye, but felt sad that his whole life of 9 years was filled with abandonment.
But now he can leave filled with contentment.
He was the forgotten one to his family, but to the world he lives on in their minds.
He will finally be at peace and harmony and all the bad aura will be left behind.
Shine on little forgotten one, shine on.
