Trying to look to the future
But keep dwelling on the past
I just keep thinking
Of all the mistakes I've amassed
Thoughts running through my head
What's done is done
I cannot change things
My life is reckless abandon
Now, the future seems bright
Changing as we speak
Mistakes I will no longer make
The future no longer seems bleak
Bad choices I have made
I've left them all behind

The demons have left my mind
I will not be broken
And I will not bow down
The waters may be deep
But I refuse to drown
I haven't felt this way

The future holds many obstacles
But I will remain strong
