THE GIRL

Down somewhere was a myth so old,
Passed from decades as I was told.
Deep in a forest many moons ago,
Lived a strange girl, called Evo.
Someone had seen her making some potions one day,
And then after a day or two some villagers were found dead on the way.
"I saw them going to Evo", someone screamed,
There was no further need of investigation it seemed.
Soon a crowd marched to Evo's hut it's said,
Everyone was eager to see her dead.
Some held fiery torches, some held blades,
Soon the possession reached at her gates.
Before she could understand Evo was locked in her house,
And someone threw a torch, burning her little hut,
All ropes of her hope were now cut.
The fire burnt her house and clothes she used to stitch,
The last word that came of her were"I am not a witch",
And so died Evo and everyone wanted to rejoice,
But death screamed over there voice.
More deaths, few alive and then it was found,
Not witchery but a deadly disease was the grim-reaper around.
And Evo wasn't a witch rather she prepared some medics,
Which could had saved everyone from the clutches of the disease.
So did everyone apologize it's told,
And prayed to Evo to forgive there souls.
And after that it is rightly said,
LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP, or you may face your doom ahead.
