When the winds changed their ways
And the waves picked their pace
Still not a word left her pale crunched lips
She was a painting too old to be hung in a gallery
A song with tunes broken long ago
A candle that burnt and died
And now there isn't a star of emotion in her eyes
The time has come for her to step into the reality
The cage she wounded herself,
It's time for it to be withered away
Like the wilted rose she has become now
Petal by petal, it's her doom
Now a walk to the heart of the river
The only duty she must fulfill
And when she left those of her kin behind
Never to return
They heard her sadness for the first time.
In the sweet melancholic melody of her silence and in the strings of tears that had found their way
And now she'll never speak again
For she'll lie at the bottom, buried by water
And they'll forever long for the songs
they never heard!
