You died on a cold January day
and there hasn't been another quit as cold.
You took with you all the warmth of life
and all the joy that this world used to hold.
You took a piece of me with you
on the day you passed away,
and now there are no more tomorrows
and I can't bring back yesterday.
The future collided with the past
and took all our dreams of tomorrow,
and now all that I am left with
is this pain and my sorrow.
There are no more memories to be made.
I'm left with only thoughts of the past,
and the dieing dreams of our future
and memories of the years, gone to fast.
You took with you, my laughter
and the things that made me smile.
You left me to travel lifes rocky road
where now every inch seems like a mile.
I miss you and love you so much
and I'm not sure if you ever knew,
for all the pieces of my life,
that held me together, you were the glue.
Dedicated to the love of my life who passed away 6 years ago at the tender age of just 43.
