At my grandmother's house sitting in the living room eating "Home of the Hoagy's" stack sandwich. Observing and listening to my aunties and my mother conversing back and forth about nothing. "Did y'all watch that Haves and Have Nots last night?" My aunt Sandra asked. "Yeah, " my aunt Geraldine replied. "Tyler Perry need his ass kicked," Sandra said. "Why?" Geraldine asked. "He be letting people kill people on that show, we have enough violence going on as it is in real life, and he go have that in there, " she stated. "Everything they show on TV be happing in real life, that's where they get it from, " Geraldine said. "I never saw Haves and Have Nots, my show is Empire, " my other aunt Shug said. "It's too many gay folks on that show, men be kissing men, women kissing women, all that ol nasty stuff," Sandra said having a disgusted look on her face. "We wasn't raised like that. Back in our time there wasn't no gay folks kissing each other, it was all straight folks. If it was some gay folks back then, they hid they sexuality," my mother said shaking her head. "I like that Jussie Smollet guy, he fine, "Shug said smiling. "Yeah he fine, but his ass gay too, it always be the nice-looking men being gay, " my mother said. "Well, that is the law now, we can't discriminate against gay folks, " Geraldine said. "Right exactly, " I said.
The person who sits back and observe and listen is the person with wisdom. The person who does all the mouthing is the fool. The wise person sits back and learn who the mouthing person really are.
