the hard truth #2
The hard truths we have to learn in life
May not be hard truths everyone has had to learn
We are told to shut up and stay out of the way
So that's what I did
We learned to be unwanted and unloved
To be rejected and pushed away and left
And broken alone.
We scream and cry pleas desperately from inside
Hoping and praying anyone would come save us
The hard truth is we drown and break alone
And learn no one's coming to rescue us.
Because no one's ever really noticed we were there.
