Nazi nurses with
invisible uniforms
do not hide their
hate for us.
They do not care
how much we hurt
for to them our
pain is nothing.
Their goose-stepping
along the barren halls
keeps us hiding
in our rooms.
Although we fear
the ones whose rooms
we share for their
madness takes its toll.
The nazi’s demeaning
demands break us
down as we struggle
through each day.
Three times per day
they force-feed us
their bitter gruel of
fear and pain.
We feel it curdle
in our guts as it
turns our innards
from red to black.
Go shower now
they shout at us
but we fear those
blackened stalls.
As the filth of
over a thousand
men wraps tightly
around our skin.
The bells they clang
and so we know it’s
time to face the
eight hour death.
For we have no
choice but to fall
into the darkness
deep within.
And once again
we wake to the
loud sirens and their
angry voices.
And so it starts
a brand new day
of suffering at
their hands.
