Again the world looks dim,
Everyone goes home,
And decides to eat in.
As another war ensues,
People can’t help,
But be confused.
Of how this war,
Is no different,
Than what we’ve seen before.
With soldiers fighting to the death.
Until someone pulls the cord.
Watching them bleed to white,
And they're sent to the morgue.
No different is this.
As people pass,
And they’ll be missed.
But we pray for the dying,
We pray for no risk.
We pray for the poor.
Who once were energetic,
Are lacking their brisk.
Praying for those who loved to explore,
And loved to travel
But can’t anymore.
And lastly, our families we adore.
Loving and kind,
Hoping they don’t go off into an internal war.
