In a world full of scars
I only see the stars
That glows in your eyes
Everytime you smile
When I first had you
I felt my world shattered
But the thought of holding you
Filled my heart with gladness
The journey to your birth was though
A life taking form inside of me
The nauseation and uneasiness
But the hope of you keeps me going
Your birth was the best gift I ever had
I could after all hold and kiss you
Your radiant eyes I couldn't resist
But the sleepless nights are exhausting
As I watched you grow, my love
Watching you sit and start to stand
How great will it be when you walk
And scatter things all around the house
Now you're a year old
It's celebration to me as it is to you
We both went through growth and transformation
I'm experiencing the joy of motherhood
