The last kiss that set us free

I'm throwing away all these old love letters, that you wrote for me.
I'm packing away anything that reminded me of why you set me free.
When you left me and when you said goodbye.
Did you know, I sat by the window watching you go, sometimes, I still cry.
Because, I miss the way we used to be.
I miss looking into your dark eyes.
Sometimes, I wonder was our whole relationship a lie.
I hate this feeling of being free.

I miss your touch and the way I always said, I love you oh so much.
But, then again, come to think of it, wasn't it me putting in one hundred percent.
Maybe, it was me being honest because everything I said to you, I meant!

Now were both picking up whatever pieces we dropped along the way.
But to be honest, I never started feeling okay.
I'm still taking in the last words you said to me.
I remember the last kiss, it was the one that set us free.
But, hey you know me, I bounce back fast, because I'm used to being me.
