The Lighthouse

drizzly and foggy nothing to abort
a ship slowly sails into port
a little light house shines
beams of light that's fine
the harbormaster whistling calls to the boat
eerily dead silence a float
creaking and cracking is the wood
the man standing calling feels no good
the boat just moors by the dock
nothing moves nothing mocks
the sounds of voices only heard
carried away by the wind like a bird
this boat all rotted and torn up sails
had floated slowly through many gail's
the captain and crew ragged and in chains
call out moaning, eternal pain
the man on the dock starts to blew
becomes another part of crew
the little boat disappears into the night
as the same scene unfolds time and again
the lighthouse still shines
