The lone Elephant

Out in the Savannah a lone Elephant
Standing under the canopy of the Acacia
As the Sun set's in
So do animals marching by going home
Beautiful scenery surrounding me
The herd seems to have left him by at a Watering hole
Sounds of Wild animals filling the Air
Maybe a Lion, A Leopard, or a Cheetah nearby too
Giving me the creeps
Insects chirping in a chorus
The African Pigeon's last cooing
Suddenly the Elephant blows his Trumpet
As if alerting a nearby herd of his presence
A sudden silence creeps in
But a Lion pride is out to hunt
Jackals and Hyenas following
The Luminous Eyes glowing in the dark
Wherever l look, Eyes...Eyes... Eyes
Safely in my Land Rover
I drive off to another night spot
