The long blank stare..

I knew her when I could touch her, and smell the scent of her hair.
I knew her when I could look into her eyes, and feel the presence of her blank stare.

She knew how to touch someone with the look into her eyes.
That night she looked into the mirror and their were many tears that she cried.

To many strangers passing in the night.
We lost her before we got a chance to know her once again.
It just wasn't nobody's right, to put her life in their hands, without a fight.
They found her in an alley way, helpless, and in her chest was a knife.

She didn't have time to do the things, in her life that she always wanted to do.
Because, some sad person decided that her life has to end, why they did that I haven't a clue.

Today, I pass by her tombstone and I wonder what her life would of been like if she did not pass away.
I still feel her presence as the wind blows in my hair.
I turn around for one last look and I see her looking at me.
I get that cold chill along with that long blank stare.
Nobody says a word, I wonder if anyone did care.
