The Machine;

Take a step back and appraise the situation left over by the days, the moments that were left outside to weather, the world no longer a temptress for his bemusement, crumbling are the temple walls, the junkies dream left decaying out in the open, let's leave it unspoken.
For to take my power of speech is not for you to grasp in your reach, shall you ever strike me again, understand it will be your demise, I could always see the void in your eyes. Do not underestimate my power, it will devour you in less than an hour.
I command the beast, I reach for this creature, to continue to read, and watch me bleed my words into the paper, because I couldn't enjoy something greater. Consider it closure, a letter from my heart's desire. I know the beast occasionally sneaks a peek. I just turn the other cheek.
Awaken in this very shaken morning light, free from the hold of the night, the beast still hungry to feast. This mean feast not hard to impress such a despicable mess, it wasn't mine to divulge in confession, I missed that election.
Never have come too far, you're not where you think you are, but no one really talks about it. It's left open and dripping onto the floor, on your way to block the door, holding onto my phone like it's your own.
I'm left not at all feeling blessed, but it's time to confess, I was never my very best when I was stuck inside the nest, it was never mine to keep, I'd helped me become accustomed to holding my breath, training to survive the next test.
I'm tapping away to the seconds on my watch, fingers tapping my feet crossed. I bear no socks, because I'm by now quite used to living life on the rocks. Forget this sense of self, it was all but a mean dream, stop the machine from looping the same dream.
